Nominated for “Best kiss” at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Sex Education is one of the 10 most popular series on Netflix since its premiere two years ago. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that the British comedy premiered its third season on September 17th and is available everywhere. In the MFC blog, we will tell you all about it, but first, let’s watch the official announcement of season three, which is amazing.

Created by writer Laurie Nunn, Sex Education intends to explore adolescent sexuality with less shame and more sense of humor, letting us see the sexual difficulties these teens go through, while using gender stereotypes to give them a change of perspective. All of this makes this TV show especially unique.

After a finale with many loose ends, this third season brings big changes. Among them are the new rules of Moordale High. Don’t forget that the new headteacher, Hope (Jemima Kirke), will be in charge of changing the institution’s image since it was declared as a “sex school”. And it seems like Hope will add a new school uniform to the list of rules.

On the other hand, we might get to hear some confessions that will definitely surprise us. And we’ll see if Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Mackey) can sort out their difficult relationship once and for all. Will Otis finally confess his love for her face to face?

That remains to be seen, because Maeve might start a relationship with Isaac (George Robinson). But don’t forget that it was him who deleted Otis’ voicemail to Maeve in which he professed his love. In the meantime, Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) will discover what feminism is all about and Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) will fall in love again.

Besides, at the end of season two, Dr. Jean (Gillian Anderson) found out that she was pregnant and Netflix’s images on twitter confirm that the baby is on its way.

It’s clear that Sex Education manages to explore the topic of sexuality without so much shame like in the series Big Mouth, and with much more wit and positivity than in the images of photographer and director Larry Clark, in which sex was something you were supposed to feel scared of, instead of something that you should learn.
