Upgrade Policy

INTRODUCTION

If you purchased your plan from one of our official channels, you shall be able to renew or upgrade your current plan any time. However, if the MFC APP was pre-installed in your device, that is, you did not download it from our website, you shall be able to renew or upgrade your current plan 30 days before the service expires.

Plan upgrading is carried out on our official website or app and you shall be able to enjoy the new service immediately after your payment has been successfully processed. On the other hand, plan downgrading is not available during a valid service period.

When upgrading to a higher level plan, you shall pay the corresponding plan price and get a full year of service validity. The remaining valid days of the current plan shall be converted and added to the upgraded plan.

 

VALIDITY CONVERSION

The valid-day conversion strategy is mainly related to the amount of simultaneous devices per plan and shall be carried out as follows:

 

1. Plans with the same amount of devices

When switching between plans with the same amount of devices, such as Monthly to Basic, the validity period shall be directly added up to total valid days of the new plan.

Example: If you currently have a single device monthly plan, the duration of the new valid service period shall be 365 days from the payment date plus the remaining days left of your current Monthly service.

 

2. Plans with different amount of devices 

When switching between plans with a different amount of devices, the validity period will be calculated by applying our conversion formula (see Item 4).

Example: If you currently have a single device monthly plan and upgrade to a two device yearly plan (Duo), the conversion formula shall be applied to your Monthly plan. The duration of the new valid service period shall be 365 days from the payment date plus the calculated remaining days left of your current Monthly service.

 

3. Particular cases

When purchasing a new plan during the free trial period, the remaining valid days of the benefit shall not be transferred to the total valid days of the new plan.

 

4. Conversion formula

Whenever a plan is upgraded, the following formula is applied to determine the new remaining valid period that shall be valid as soon as the payment goes through:

 

{Current days} * ({Current plan weight} / {New plan weight}) + New days = New valid period

 

The variant “plan weight” of each plan is calculated by dividing the cost of the plan by the amount of valid days provided in that plan.

. Single device monthly plan

3.99 / 30 = 0.133

. Single device yearly plan

39.99 / 365 = 0.109

. Two device yearly plan

63.99 / 365 = 0.175

. Four device yearly plan

114.99 / 365 = 0.315

Example: If you want to upgrade to a four device yearly plan (Family), but you still have 200 remaining valid days of your current single device yearly plan (Basic), after you have successfully paid the new plan, the new remaining valid period shall be:

200 * (0.109 / 0.315) + 365 = 434
