The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed the nominations for the 97th Academy Awards, which will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

This year, the film ‘Emilia Perez’ stands out with 13 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Karla Sofia Gascon, who makes history by being the first trans actress nominated in this category. Wicked’ and ‘The Brutalist’ follow with 10 nominations each, consolidating themselves as strong contenders this awards season.
