Michael J. Fox Returns to Acting in This Acclaimed Series

The beloved "Back to the Future" star is coming out of retirement to join an Apple TV series. Find out all the details here.

Michael J. Fox is returning to acting after a five-year hiatus, joining the third season of Shrinking on Apple TV+ as a guest star. This marks his first on-screen appearance since 2020, when he stepped away from the spotlight due to complications from Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1991.

In Shrinking, Fox will appear alongside Jason Segel, and Harrison Ford. While details about his character remain under wraps, his involvement is especially meaningful since Ford’s character in the show also deals with a Parkinson’s diagnosis, adding authenticity and emotional depth to the storyline.

This project also reunites Fox with series creator Bill Lawrence, with whom he previously worked on the hit comedy Spin City. Season 3 of Shrinking does not yet have a confirmed release date but is expected to premiere soon on your favorite streaming platform.
