Since it began, Lucifer (2016) has managed to captivate the audience. That’s why its sixth and final season, released on September 10th, has been no different and it’s already one of the most watched series on Netflix.

The story of this unconventional TV show is inspired by Neil Gaiman’s comic The Sandman, published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. In the 90’s, this graphic novel came to be one of the most acclaimed and prestigious works in the fantasy genre.

But before we begin, let’s do a quick recap on what the show is about…

Increasingly bored with his life in Hell, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) abandons his kingdom and moves to Los Angeles. There, he runs his own nightclub called Lux and begins to work with detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) as a consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department after helping in a murder investigation.

One of the reasons why this series is different from all the others is that, in its conventional appearance, it has remained loyal to its main theme: self-acceptance. That’s how Lucifer breaks taboos, incorporates Bible’s creatures and even deconstructs some of their paradigms.

Will fate manage to unite Chloe and Lucifer?

In the end of season five, Chloe dies in Lucifer’s arms, leaving him devastated. In a final effort, Lucifer decides to get her back from Heaven, despite being previously banished and knowing that he might not come back.

It’s rumored that the series finale is going to satisfy all fans who want to see how this love story ends. But will Chloe and Lucifer end up together? The reality is that they made their relationship official in season five, but due to his immortality, the devil knows that, at some point, he will see his lover die. If he makes her immortal, will Chloe be able to go from Heaven to Hell? She is God’s daughter-in-law, she should have some benefits, right?
