The Wild Robot, the 2024 animated film

After the success of "The Croods", "Lilo & Stitch", and "How to Train Your Dragon", Chris Sanders returns to directing with a new adventure: "The Wild Robot". At MFC, we bring you all the details of the animated film of the moment.

The animated science fiction, adventure, and survival film “The Wild Robot is based on the book series of the same name written by Peter Brown and released in September 2023. The story pushes the boundaries of technology while exploring the depth of the human heart in a natural setting.

Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, this film marks the end of an era for the studio, as in October 2023 it was announced that they would no longer produce films totally on their own. A fun fact: the soundtrack is composed by Kris Bowers, making his debut in the animation genre.

The movie tells the journey of Roz (voiced by Lupita Nyong’o), a robot from the ROZZUM 7134 unit, who must learn to survive on a deserted island. Surrounded only by animals, Roz forms unexpected connections and takes on the role of adoptive mother to a small orphaned goose, facing challenges that test both her programming and her capacity to feel.
