Most anticipated movies and series of July 2024

As always, the month of July brings great premieres both on the big and small screens. Hollywood producers arrive with heavy artillery and their biggest debut. We, from MFC, tell you which top-notch movies and series are premiering this month.

MOVIES THAT PREMIERE IN JULY 2024

1- DESPICABLE ME 4

Genre: Animation, Action, Comedy.

Duration: 1 hour, 34 minutes

Gru and Lucy are now married and fight together with their family in the Anti-Villain League. Their adopted daughters become even more involved in this very important mission. Furthermore, there is a new member in the family: the baby born from the marriage. When a villain, Maxime Le Mal, escapes from prison, everyone must make crucial decisions that will put them to the test. This is the fourth release in the popular animated family saga, with Chris Renaud, director of the first two films, back behind the cameras.

2- THE BIKERIDERS

Genre: Action, Crime, Drama.

Duration: 1 hour, 56 minutes.

Set in the 1960s, this story witnesses the rise of the Vandals, a motorcycle club in the Midwest USA. Over the course of a decade, and as the lives of its members go by, the club experiences a profound transformation. Initially, it is a refuge for local outsiders looking to create a subculture and put down roots. However, as time passes, the club becomes something more sinister, threatening the unique lifestyle of the original group. The work features performances by Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy.

3- DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

Genre: Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi.

Duration: 2 hours, 7 minutes.

In this release, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) must form an unpleasant alliance to face a common threat that puts not only their own lives at risk, but also those of the entire world. With a unique combination of irreverent humor and action, the film promises epic combat scenes, witty dialogue, and explosive chemistry between the protagonists. While Wolverine struggles with his past and his wild nature, Deadpool contributes with his chaotic and uninhibited style, resulting in an unforgettable adventure for fans.

4- TWISTERS

Genre: Adventure, Thriller.

Duration: 2 hours, 2 minutes.

In the movie “Twisters,” it has been almost twenty years since scientists managed to, somewhat, outdo Mother Nature. Two decades ago, several investigators achieved the impossible when they collected a set of data on a Category F5 tornado. With this information, they created Antheia, an advanced natural disaster detection system that has saved thousands of lives. However, Mother Nature is prepared to take back her power. The film features the fantastic performance of Glen Powell.

SERIES QUE SE ESTRENAN EN JULIO 2024

1- COBRA KAI S6

Genre: Action, Comedy.

Duration: 15 episodes separated into three parts (part 1 in July 2024, part 2 in November 2024 and part 3 in 2025)

The plot continues to evolve with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) preparing their students for the Sekai Taikai tournament in Japan. After overcoming Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) and his dojo in the previous season, the rivalry is renewed with the return of the Cobra Kai dojo thanks to John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Kim Dae-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim).

2- ELITE S8

Genre: Drama.

Duration: 8 episodes, between 45 and 60 minutes each.

In the eighth season of Elite, new faces appear at the Madrid school alongside the already-known characters. Meanwhile, Nadia Shanaa’s surprising return is being prepared several years after she attended Las Encinas. New mysteries and problems must be solved by both current and former students.
