The character “Garfield” was created by Jim Davis in 1978 and, over time, has become one of the most popular comic stories in the world. The Garfield story, in all its formats, has always been characterized by the adventures and misfortunes that the cat has along with his owner Jon Arbuckle and his dog, Odie. This hilarious trio came up with a new story to steal the show.

WHAT IS “the GARFIELd movie” ABOUT?

It is an animated comedy film directed by Mark Dindal. The story tells of Garfield’s reunion with his lost father Vic, whom he has not seen in a long time. The problem here is that his father Vic involves him in a hilarious and unpredictable high-risk robbery, so together with his faithful friend Odie they must abandon their comfortable routines to face this exciting adventure.

THE NEW CAST OF ” THE GARFIELD MOVIE”.

In the long-awaited return of Garfield, Memo Villegas gives life to this iconic character, accompanied by Sandro Larenas in the role of his father, Vic. Meanwhile, Regina Orozco plays the voice of the villainous kitten, Jinx, who will make life miserable for the mischievous Garfield. In addition, José Luis Slobotsky and Ricardo Pérez give life to two faithful dog followers of Jinx, among other voices that complement this extraordinary animated film.

Mark Dindal, known for his work on films such as “The Emperor’s Follies” and “Chicken Little“, joins David Reynolds, screenwriter of “Finding Nemo“, in a unique collaboration for this new animated film. Dindal takes on the role of director while Reynolds contributes his talents as screenwriter. The film is produced by Columbia Pictures in commemoration of its 100th anniversary and distributed by Sony Pictures.

The plot of the most eagerly awaited film by fans of this comic story hit the big screens on 30 April 2024, coinciding with the celebration of “Children’s Day” in some places, while in other countries it was released on 1 May 2024. “Garfield ‘s Fun Fest”: Directed again by Mark A.Z Dippé and released in 2008, this film features Garfield embarking on a new adventure to discover the true meaning of fun. When challenged to keep his prize at the annual talent show, Garfield is forced to compete and earn recognition.
“Garfield’s Pet Force” Directed once again by Mark A.Z Dippé and released in 2009, this film shows us another side of Garfield, who is faced with an alien invasion. With the help of his friends Odie and Nerman, Garfield prepares for danger and together they decide to become superheroes to fight and survive against this alien threat.
