Movies and series premiering in June 2025

We’ve reached the halfway point of the year, and at My Family Cinema we’ve put together this list of the biggest movie and TV premieres coming this June.

MOVIES PREMIERING IN JUNE 2025

Ballerina

Genre: Action, Thriller

Duration: 90 minutes

Eve Macarro, a trained assassin from the Ruska Roma, sets out on a mission of revenge after the murder of her family. Set between the events of John Wick 3 and John Wick 4, this film expands the universe of the famous assassin. Ana de Armas stars in the lead role.

Elio

Genre: Animation, sci-fi, adventure

Duration: 100 minutes

Elio, an 11-year-old boy, is abducted by aliens and accidentally becomes Earth’s intergalactic ambassador, facing cosmic challenges while his mother leads a secret project back on Earth. This new Disney animated film will compete in theaters against “Lilo & Stitch” and “How to Train Your Dragon”.

M3GAN 2.0

Genre: Terror, thriller, sci-fi

Duration: 119 minutes

Two years after the events of the first movie, Gemma brings M3GAN back to life to take on Amelia, a military AI created from stolen M3GAN technology, now threatening to unleash chaos. This is one of the year’s first major horror releases, with more expected later in 2025.

Genre: Action, drama, sports

Duration: 120 minutes

Legendary driver Sonny Hayes returns to Formula 1 after a near-fatal crash, teaming up with a young talent to save their racing team. Starring Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem, the movie was filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends.

How to Train Your Dragon

Genre: Adventure, action, fantasy, family

Duration: 125 minutes

On the island of Berk, young Viking Hiccup defies tradition by becoming friends with Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon, forever changing the relationship between humans and dragons.  This is the live-action adaptation of the beloved 2010 animated film. Yes, in just 15 years, there were three animated films, and now one with real actors. Incredible. 

SERIES PREMIERING IN JUNE 2025

The Gilded Age – Season 3

Genre: Historical Drama

Duration: 8 episodes

Set in 1882 New York, the series continues to explore the social and economic tensions between the Russell and Van Rhijn-Brook families during a time of great transformation and empire-building. The first two episodes will premiere together, followed by weekly releases.

The Bear – Season 4

Genre: Comedy-Drama

Duration: 10 episodes

The story of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto continues. A young fine dining chef returns to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop, facing both personal and professional challenges. Season 5 is rumored to be the series finale for the Berzatto family.

Squid Game – Season 3

Genre: Thriller, drama, survival

Duration: 6 episodes

Seong Gi-hun returns to infiltrate the games from within, aiming to dismantle the organization and seek justice for the horrors committed. This season promises to answer lingering questions and bring a powerful conclusion to the story.
