Marvel Studios has released the first teaser for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, giving fans a glimpse into the long-awaited addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The movie is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.

Set in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family: Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (played by Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). Unlike previous adaptations, this film does not focus on the team’s origin story but instead presents them as already-established heroes, facing both personal and cosmic challenges.

The teaser highlights the team’s family dynamics, featuring scenes of them sharing a meal and showcasing their unique powers. Additionally, it provides a first look at the main antagonist, Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, whose arrival threatens Earth’s safety.

The film also stars Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, Galactus’ servant and herald. It promises to delve into the complexity of these characters within the MCU. 

Directed by Matt Shakman, The Fantastic Four: First Steps” marks the beginning of Phase Six of the MCU, and fans eagerly hope that this new adaptation does justice to the iconic characters.
